About Us

United Way of York County, SC was established in 2005, as a result of the merger of United Way of Fort Mill-Rock Hill-Tega Cay and Western York County United Way.

United Way of York County, SC conducts an annual campaign of more than $1.8 million, and supports 37 partner agencies that impact critical health and human service issues of York County.

We are governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors, and United Way is 'locally owned and operated' - completely independent of any other United Way organization. This allows our Board of Directors the freedom to create policies that are responsive to local needs, and reflect the priorities and core values of the residents in York County.

Mission Statement:

Our United Way will be the nonprofit leader in identifying community needs, facilitating collaboration, and maximizing resources to positively impact our community.

Slogan:
United Way is the best way to help the most people.

"We are glad to assist our employees in providing support to your United Way.  We truly understand the important role you play in your community."
