Project Connect

Project Connect "Day of Caring" is a one-day event that offers immediate assistance and services to homeless and low-income families.  United Way partners with the City of Rock Hill and Weed & Seed Urban Rock Hill for this event.  This partnership allows a greater number of people in our community to be served.

This year, there were roughly 300 attendees, 554 grocery bags were distributed, 173 blood pressure tests were done, and even more!

Two thousand seventeen marked the tenth year for the event in York County.  Project Connect 2017 was held at the Emmett Scott Recreation Center on Saturday, April 22nd.

Available services included: Local service providers, haircuts, hygiene items, employment information, clothing, blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, financial counseling, groceries, 2-1-1 assistance and veteran support.
