Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
United Way of York County, SC (UWYC) gathers personally identifiable data when voluntarily submitted by a user, which may include: name, addresses, zip codes, email addresses, donor choice information, user groups, etc. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to record a stated desire to donate online to UWYC via a direct gift or through a company-sponsored campaign. This information is used solely by UWYC, or other parties to the transaction for the purpose of executing the transaction, to improve your experience with us, and for the internal business purposes of United Way of York County, SC.
We are the sole owners of the information collected. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

IV. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
V. To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
VI. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
VII. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
VIII. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
IX. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.
X. To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
